1. Consultation
A free consultation to discuss the project, either by phone or in person. Based on this interview, Kim will provide the client with a basic estimate of cost and time, and assess if travel expenses will be part of the bid. If client accepts this proposal, a 50% deposit of the project's total cost is required in order to begin the creative process.
2. Space Evaluation
Kim will meet with the client to evaluate the space, either in person or by phone if out of town. She will take photos of the space if she can access it, or client will provide detailed photos for her to review. Client will also provide images of preference that reflect taste and style to assist Kim in the design.
Note: Client agrees to provide a flat, clean white wall space for mural at their own expense prior to installation.
3. Sketch
Kim provides the client with a sketch of the prospective mural design based on their ideas, tastes and the space shape and size.
4. Create a Timeline
Kim will work with client to create a timeline for installation and completion.
5. Sketch Goes Up
Kim begins sketching the entire mural. This takes approximately three full days to complete.
6. Base Coat
Kim begins applying the base coat of color for the mural, which includes background and shadows. Approximately three to five days.
7. Finish/Detail
Kim applies the finishing color and details. This can take anywhere from one to two weeks as it is the most intensive stage of the mural.
Note: A top coat of enamel is not required as it is part of the paint mix.
8. Party!
Mural is complete, and we have a party to celebrate!
