kim snitker murals: faq
Below is a list of the most common questions clients have asked regarding the mural process, followed by Kim's answers.
  1. What kind of paints do you use in a mural?
I only use non-toxic, water-based enamel that is safe for both children and pets. There is little or no odor.
  2. What materials will you bring into my home?
I will bring a drop cloth, ladder, paints and brushes, lighting (if necessary), and my lunch!
  3. Will you leave all of these items up at my house every day?
No, everything is dismantled at the end of each day and removed from the premises unless other arrangements have been made.
  4. Do you work on weekends?
I generally work during a regular work week, but would consider weekends to accommodate everyone's schedules.
  5. What if I plan to move and would like to take my mural with me?
it is possible to do panels that I would create and ship to your location (shipping is included in the final cost). Installation instructions will be included.
  6. What if I don't like the mural when you've finished?
That's why the initial meetings take place and are very thorough so that there are no surprises in the end.
  7. I'd like to have a faux finish applied to other walls in my home—do you do that?
    No.
  8. What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash or check. Please keep in mind that a 50% deposit of the project's total cost is required before any work can begin.
  9. I don't live in Albuquerque, how will you be able to create a mural for me?
I can provide services for these cities: Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Phoenix, Los Angeles, the D.C. metro area, Chicago and Kansas City. If you do not live in one of these areas then travel expenses can be discussed and incorporated into the project bid.
  10. Do you do exterior murals?
    No.
